Job Description
We have several casual roles in our corporate newsXpress stores in Westfield Knox, Westfield Southland, Mount Waverley (Hamilton Place) and Malvern (Glenferrie Road, near Malvern Central). we are looking to fill these roles immediately.
We are looking for people with good current shop floor skills, someone who enjoys working in retail and helping shoppers.
Each role includes selling, putting out stock, helping with displays, helping shoppers and engaging with feedback and suggestions for the business.
Flexibility in availability is key as our shops are open seven days a week.
Typically, we will offer 20 hours or more a week. We pay slightly above the award for retail (General retail Award).
While these businesses identify as newsagencies, they are not traditional newsagencies as those types of businesses don’t have a future. Our shops focus on cards and gifts. While we sell magazines and newspapers, they are not core products.
We don’t sell lottery products. Nor do we sell confectionery or tobacco products.
Our customers are primarily women 35+.
