About the position
We are seeking hardworking, enthusiastic candidates to commence electrical apprenticeships here in the local Coffs Harbour Region. This is a great opportunity to begin your career by gaining a national recongnised Certificate III in Electrotechnology (Electrician) qualification through both on and off the job training.
Based in Coffs Harbour, with reputable local host employers looking for outstanding apprentices, we are seeking a broad range of candidates and encourage school leavers and mature age applications.
With such a range of host employers focusing on different industries, if successful you will be exposed to domestic, commercial, and industrial situations, giving you the opportunity to test yourself across the board.
About you
You will be reliable, thrive on a challenge and enjoy rolling up your sleeves to get the job done. You will excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to take direction and feedback from your Supervisor.
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following selection criteria:
- A genuine interest in the electrical trade and mining industry
- Commitment to the full term of the apprenticeship
- Completed your HSC (preferred but not essential)
- Sound aptitude in mathematics and science subjects
- Sound computer skills
- Good manual handling techniques and safety focus
- A current driver licence and reliable transport
