Full Time Claims Assistant
The Australian Air Pilots Mutual Benefit Fund (MBF) is run by members solely for the benefit of members. We provide peace of mind that our pilots will be financially supported in the event that their Class 1 Medical Certificate is suspended or cancelled. MFB was established by pilots for pilots over 50 years ago. Since 1961 we have been providing support for Australia’s pilots through the most difficult time in their careers.
This position requires a flexible person with the ability to manage multiple tasks in customer service, data entry and office administration. A new role that primarily involves assisting the Claims Manager in managing and processing membership claims.
The Claims Assistant Duties Include:
-Customer service triaging the member notification
-Using Stratum to create new notifications under the members’ profile
-Provide the member with the necessary documentation
-Assist in collating Board meeting reports and uploading documents
-Assist in the communication and data entry between claims and membership to update member records in Stratum
-Scanning all incoming documentation to appropriate files
-Provide a full range of office administration duties
-Assist in the preparation of the Board Meetings
-3 + years of administration experience
-Excellent customer service skills
-High-level time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
-Ability to empathise, build relationships and maintain confidentiality
-Accurate data entry skills, competent in Microsoft Office 365 Suite
