Lightest Double StrollerIf you’re looking for a light double stroller weight and fold dimensions are important factors to take into consideration. Selecting a stroller that is easy to maneuver and compact when not when not in use makes it much easier to fit into the trunk of your car and maneuver through airport gates and foreign streets. The best lightweight strollers have a simple, easy fold that allows them to stand up on their own. This reduces stress on the parent’s body. Many strollers come with multiple seating configurations and some are able to accommodate car seats for infants.Kolcraft Cloud PlusCreated for families traveling. Lightweight and compact, with an easy one-handed fold. All-terrain wheels and front suspension as well as a multi-position reclining seats will accommodate children as heavy as 50 pounds. Parent and child trays along with a large storage bin and 3-tier canopy that has a peek-a-boo window for maximum sun protection. The Cloud scored one of the lowest marks in our quality tests because it has a flimsy, hard plastic seat and a design that feels dated. It’s also more expensive than other strollers that are lighter. This makes it a poor option for parents looking for an affordable option. It’s not the most light stroller but it has enough features to make it worth a look. Its swiveling front wheel makes it easy to move on flat surfaces, and it can jump curbs with ease unlike other light strollers that drift off course when trying to accomplish the similar thing. The Cloud’s low, nearly knee-high handle is a downside. It’s not adjustable, and it’s not adjustable. It’s not easy to push while your legs hang in that way. The lack of padding doesn’t make it any easier.During testing, we found that the Cloud was simple to set up and open. To close it, it’s a bit more difficult. You must slide the slider, and then press a large white button. It can be quite frustrating, especially if you’re juggling kids while doing it.The Cloud comes with a tiny but spacious storage basket. It’s large enough to accommodate the size of a large diaper bag. It’s not the greatest width, though it’s likely that you’ll need to leave something inside to reach back to retrieve it. The Cloud comes with two tray for parents and a child tray each with two cup holders. But both are too narrow for larger cups or bottles. The Kolcraft brand has been in operation since 1946, and is a third-generation family-owned business. They started by manufacturing crib pads and diapers however, they now manufacture several baby products, including highchairs as well as infant car seats. The company is based in Chicago and is an American manufacturer.Jeep Destination Ultralight SBSJeep Destination Ultralight is a lightweight double stroller with a minimalist style that’s perfect for trips. It’s super light at just 18 pounds (lighter than many single strollers!) and folds flat for easy transport and storage. It also comes with independently reclined seats and large SPF 50 sunvisors that have a peekaboo window. The visors can be adjusted to accommodate children of various heights. Additionally, it comes with one-step linked parking brake and is Disney-size approved. The swivel wheel of the Jeep is also great for navigating over bumps and uneven terrain. However, this stroller doesn’t accept car seats and therefore your children must be 6+ months old and have a solid neck control in order to ride in the front seat. It does have a nice, three panel sun canopy, however and each seat comes with its own snack tray as well as cup holders for the parents.compact double buggy is a different incredibly light side by side stroller. It’s heavier than the Kolcraft Cloud Plus at 23 lbs, but it’s slim and narrow (26.5 inches wide!) and has a ton of luxe details that make it perfect for travel. It has a super simple fold, is extremely maneuverable and can fit in the overhead compartments of airplanes and trunks easily.Like the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ Double and Mountain Buggy Nano Duo, the Joovy Kooper X2 is another tri-fold, ultralight double stroller. It’s quite similar to the Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS, however, it does have some key distinctions. It’s also slightly more expensive, but it has better maneuverability and has a larger sun canopy. It also comes with a handy carry strap that can hold children up to 44 pounds per seat.Summer 3D Pac for Infants CS+Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ is a stroller that is light with lots of features. It is not only incredibly light at only 13 pounds but also has a lot of storage options, including cupholders for both parents and children as well as a sippy-cup pouch for children, a parent’s storage pocket and more. It can also be used with a child’s chair and comes with a brake with a flip-flop feature that can be easily engaged. This stroller is designed to grow as your child grows. It can be converted from a baby to a toddler stroller by attaching car seat adapters (sold separate) and it’s suitable for children 6 months and up.Another thing to take note of about this stroller is that it operates on swivel wheels, and doesn’t have any locking capabilities, so it might not be the best option for rocky or hilly terrain. It’s still a good option for most families, as it is easy to maneuver on smooth surfaces as well as smooth surfaces. This is among the most compact and lightweight double strollers with full-size features. It can be folded in one hand and stored in the trunk or garage. It can be used as a travel stoller and is compatible without additional adapters for most car seats. The Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ is unique from other lightweight travel strollers because it has two distinct seats that can each support up to 100 pounds. The seats come with individual leg rests, as well as three-panel canopies with flip-out sunvisors and peekaboo window. The seats are cushioned for your baby’s comfort and come with a five-point padded safety harness that can be adjusted to three height positions. The sling-style seats are comfortable and offer the same amount of headroom as other double strollers. This lets kids sit together. Unlike many other side-by-side strollers this one Kooper X2 offers a fully reclined seat, which is a great option for napping. Its recline feature is easy to use, but it doesn’t really go flat. Children who are taller may have legs hanging out when in reclined mode. It also has a big canopy that we found to be more effective in blocking the sun’s rays than other options in our review of the best double strollers. The stroller is lightweight enough to be able to move through door frames. This was a major issue with other models we tested. It is easy to fold and the handlebars are located close to the ground. Its only downside is its relatively small storage space, which can feel uncomfortable when filled with kid stuff.Joovy is a family-owned business that makes unique, functional and quality baby products.
