The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop ComboFor pets that shed fur A robot vacuum/mop set-up is one of the best floor cleaning options. It can mop, vacuum and clean its own dual mop pad.It also has the most suction power of any robot we have examined, with 8,800Pa. It can also set up cleaning schedules and save your house’s maps through its app.1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 OmniThe X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the most recent in the Ecovacs range of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model that is dry and wet is equipped with the latest AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system Ecovacs, which gives improved mapping and obstruction avoidance. It uses dual laser LiDAR, similar to that found in self-driving vehicles. It can scan an area up to 32 feet by the 270-degree angle. This translates to more accurate mapping, faster response time, and better cleaning accuracy. It also features an adjustable mopping pad made of chenille, which makes it easier to scrub hard areas unlike traditional mopping. During my testing the X2 Omni took just over a minute to wash its pad before getting to work, and I noticed that it was much more accurate than other models that were able to follow a grid-like route around rooms. It was able to navigate around corners and edges of my rooms, and also create “Zambani patterns” both in and out of the middle of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station on a regular basis to empty the dust bin and clean the mop using hot water, before starting another cleaning task. The X2 Omni is just as simple to use and set up as other Ecovacs products. Snap the dock into position connect it to the power outlet and connect it to your WiFi network at home. It only takes about a minute. You can then open the app to start your first cleaning project. I was able to customize my floor plan in less than 15 minutes. This included creating limited areas for sweeping and mopping as well as rearranging the positioning of wall-mounted furniture, and more. The X2 Omni impressed me during my tests. It scored highly in the areas of pet hair removal and debris removal, and also achieved near-perfect results in crevices and edge cleaning.2. Deebot T10 OmniIf you’re looking for a strong combination of vacuuming and mopping look into the EcoVACS Deebot Omni. It is the most sophisticated of the T-line from the brand and features the new OZMO Turbo2.0 mopping system, which uses dual-spinning brush for better cleaning than conventional scrubbing. It has YIKO, an artificial language processing technology that is the first of its kind. It can respond to a variety of voice commands. The ECOVACS App lets you map your house, create cleaning schedules and modify settings. The main drawback of the T10 Omni is that it can’t switch between mopping and vacuuming in a single run. The two modes require that you attach and remove the mop heads according to the need and is suitable for most homes but not suitable for people with busy lifestyles. However, the Deebot Omni is an excellent robot vacuum that has impressive results in our tests on pet hair. It was able to vacuum up more than 96% of the dust we threw at it on our hardwood flooring and floors, which is a remarkable performance. It also did a fantastic job with tile and carpet and tile, getting rid of more than 99% of dirt and debris. This robotic vacuum and mop has large docking stations that offers cool water cleaning for the mop pads, and auto-emptying into a 3L plastic bag that is easy to replace, and hot air drying for quick and easy maintenance. It also has a huge water tank that permits more frequent rinses and dry between mopping runs. The Deebot T10 comes with an integrated wash tray into its base, similar to other mopping robots. It makes use of the wash tray to wash and dry the mop pads when it is using them. But it doesn’t use an open tray, meaning that dirty water, dust and other grime slowly build up on the bottom of the tray over time.3. www.robotvacuummops.com is the first model of mopping from Anker that is renowned for its robot vacuums. It features upgraded intelligence with multiple map support, LIDAR scanning and twin-turbine technology that adjusts automatically to the surface you are cleaning. It’s a great mid-range robotic vacuum cleaner although it can’t exactly live up to its promise of being an all-in-one solution for floor cleaning. The X8 Hybrid appears to be a standard robotic cleaner from the top. It is a circular design with sweeping wheels, and an elevated sensor. Turn it upside down, however you’ll see an electric floor brush and a single side sweeper that carries dirt from the edges into the main path of the robot’s mouth. It’s a little smaller than the main brushes on the competing iRobot Roomba S9, which I discovered makes it easier to fit under couches and chairs. The mapping system is quite sophisticated, allowing you to set no-mop zones as well as specific cleaning zones. It has a tendency of hitting objects such as its charging station, and isn’t very good at climbing over carpets. It was great at picking up pet hair from carpets. In our tests it picked up 89.5 percent of cat litter. The X8 Hybrid is controlled via an app, however it also has physical buttons at its base. These buttons let you select the cleaning mode, or turn off the robot. These buttons can be used to create no-go areas and view real-time maps. It’s a little chatty, too, and will inform you of what it plans to do next (“start cleaning”) or warn you that something is wrong (it does not have enough power to charge, for example).4. ILIFE A4sThis model is high-tech and sucks up pet hair, kibble, and other debris with top-notch effectiveness and effortlessly moves around furniture legs. It comes with a set of features that is impressive, such as two cleaning modes and an automatic docking station, and real-time obstacles avoidance technology. The Wi-Fi enabled device can be controlled via the Neato App, where cleanings are scheduled and maintenance requirements are monitored. The X2 Omni is an excellent option for homes with a large hardwood floors and carpet, but it requires some planning ahead to avoid getting stuck on power cords, toys or other unexpected obstacles. In our tests of hardwood floors and kibble the robot performed very well and was able to take everything from one grain of rice up to many pieces of dog food in just one pass. It had a bit of difficulty transitioning to carpets, however, this vacuum cleaner is great for large spaces with both types of flooring and a variety of pets. The A4s Pro is expensive however it’s a great buy for people who want to to leave the house hands-free so they can do other things or take care chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that increases suction to get rid of the most difficult spills or dirt. It also has a battery-powered ElectroWall to establish boundaries for the robot. This budget-friendly model from a well-known new brand is the most affordable we’ve ever tested, and provides an outstanding value for money. The basic navigation system is based on a basic random pathing algorithm and it’s not able to map rooms. This renders it less efficient than other models in this list. However it’s still able to get under furniture and into corners, and its mopping mode performed well during our tests and was able to pick up pet hair and other debris easily.5. Shark iQShark’s iQ isn’t as well-built as the Roomba S9, but it is superior in general at getting rid of pet hair on all surfaces. It does a better job of cleaning carpets with low piles as well as floor surfaces that are bare. It also utilizes intelligent-pathing navigational software to improve maneuverability. It can be directed to a specific location, and comes with a range of advanced automation features, including no-go zones and schedules. It also allows you to suspend and resume cleaning sessions making it ideal for homes with pets. The self-cleaning brushroll is able to prevent knots from pet hair and other debris and its self-emptying bagless dock station can hold up to 30 days worth of dirt before needing to be empty. It also comes with an array of angled side brushes that go deep into corners, and its multi-stage filtration system captures dust, dander, and allergens for cleaner air.The robot vacuum is built well and feels solid. It has a smartphone application which lets you alter the settings of your vacuum and schedule cleaning sessions ahead of time. The app allows you to see the remaining battery life of the iQ, and send push notifications if it encounters any issues during the cleaning session. You can control it using your voice using an Amazon Alexa device or Google Assistant device. If you don’t own either of these devices you can mark the boundaries of your area with physical boundary lines. The iQ is great in cleaning floors with no dirt, and is able to do well on carpets with low pile and shaggy edges. However, it doesn’t offer the same level of autonomy as our top choices. It is also expensive and the cost of recurring use can add up.
