The Best Double Buggy StrollersIf you’re expecting twins or have two young children of different age groups, then a double buggy can help you get out and about. The best ones are easy to maneuver and can handle rough surfaces and kerbs. These cars also come with features such as large sun canopy and transparent hoods, as well as adjustable seats.1. Baby Jogger City Tour DoubleThe City Tour 2 Double is the smallest double stroller within the Baby Jogger range. It was designed specifically to travel and fits through standard doors easily due to its narrow and slim design. It’s also among the lightest double buggies available that weighs just 14lbs when folded. This makes it perfect for traveling with a toddler and newborn because you won’t have to exceed the allowances for luggage on airlines. It also folds up to the size of a bag for travel and can be tucked away in the back of your car when it’s not when you’re not using it.The one-handed Z-shape fold is easy to fold, it’s incredibly compact when you’ve mastered it and takes only a few seconds to unfold. Our test subject found the auto-lock a bit confusing, and since the handlebar does not lock into its position when you push it, it hit her leg when she tried to use it. She also felt the handlebar was a bit too short and especially with the large changing bag hanging off of it.This double stroller is not as lightweight as other travel buggies. It comes with a wide range of features, and is one the most versatile double strollers available on the market. It’s compatible with two carry cots (available separately) and offers multiple recline positions, and a UV 50+ canopy. You can also add the bassinet to either or both seats to create an ideal travel system. The four composite wheels made of rubber are ideal for pavements and urban terrain however they’re not made for off-roading – they struggled on gravel and long grass and there’s a lack of clearance between the wheel and the bracket which means that mud could get stuck easily. That being said our testers still enjoyed riding this buggy, and it did get up to some pretty dirt hills.iCandy OrangeThe iCandy Orange double buggy is the most stylish, versatile and quality. It is a must for parents who want high-end design, quality and style that lasts. The Orange has a gorgeous light, sleek chassis that has a massive basket that can easily fit two car seats. The seats are molded and are very comfortable. They’re also adjustable, so they can be set to suit the needs of siblings. iCandy has included the first-ever “cinema seating” style that allows parents to keep eye contact with both children. They can be adjusted so that they face the parent or the world. It’s a heavier tandem buggie but it’s easy to use and drive, especially on smooth pavements. It’s stable in double and single mode, and even on sloping ground. It’s not as simple to drive on public transport, however, because it requires more than one hand on the handlebar. It is also bulky and will not fit into a standard car boot with the seat attached, but this can be overcome with careful planning. iCandy have included an infant footmuff, a changing bag and car seat adapters in the price, so it’s an excellent value bundle for new parents.3. The 360-swivel front wheel can be locked for easier manoeuvring around town, and the one pedal easy-lock brake is simple to use.Our testers found the Nipper Double was incredibly easy to manoeuvre, even when moving off on uneven ground or turning fast in an area with a lot of traffic. They were also amazed by the fact that both seats recline independently, which means they can be adjusted to fit the individual’s needs. This is ideal for napping. The hoods were also easy to adjust for sun or wind protection. Our testers did find however that they didn’t offer an enormous amount of coverage as similar to the Baby Jogger City Mini hoods which is why it’s worth packing a rain cover in case of need.Overall, our testers were impressed by the Nipper double’s ability let them take their twin daughters Sydney and Lyla to all sorts of adventures. From seeing wildlife in the forest or rushing to a park for a playdate They loved it. They were also impressed by how comfortable and spacious the two seats are with plenty of room for toddlers growing to stretch out in. Our testers did note that the lack of parent-facing seating and the inability of using car seats with this buggy were a problem, and they would like to have more storage space to store shopping items and other accessories.
