Market Job Description

The Account Manager role monitors an assigned portfolio of dealers. This includes analyzing dealer payment performance habits as well as identifying key metrics to minimize portfolio losses and delinquencies. The role will also support the review process of the dealers. The role also provides first class customer service to the customers and build relationship with customer while being able to deliver negative messages if required; this role does require some light collections. The candidate must be able to identify growth opportunities while considering the risk of the dealer.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform ongoing account monitoring for accounts, including trends, daily queue management, delinquency, and relationship management.
  • Proactively and quickly identify and provide resolution to red flags, unpaid amounts, and breaches in outlined conditions (ie: covenant compliance.)
  • Ensuring data inputs and account reporting is timely and accurate.
  • Including with respect to account classification and liaise closely with underwriting for annual review input and risk classification assessments.
  • Knowledge of inventory finance relating to dealer and manufacturer/distributor relationships

Market Skills and Certifications

  • Tertiary qualification in commerce, business, accounting or finance
  • 1-3 years professional experience in a risk or related function within a commercial business or bank, inventory finance experience desired
  • Inventory finance knowledge
  • Strong Excel, Word processing and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong credit expertise – knowledge of credit, risk, process, collateral, legal and security issues.
  • Clear, concise, and effective written & oral communication
  • Professional, mature and positive demeanor, providing inclusive interpersonal skills and abilities to work with various stakeholders
  • Multi-skilled and versatile with ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Abilities to work proactively to solve problems and work independently
