Full Time Warehouse Supervisor (for small warehouse operation)

About the role:
The Warehouse Supervisor role is a hands on role including the leadership of a small warehousing team of three team members in the function of storing and accounting for stock received, dispatching orders accurately and on time and accurately to fulfill retail sales (internal customers) and external customers – corporate sales and ecommerce sales . Further, it is the Warehouse Supervisor’s responsibility to maintain the warehouse in a fit and safe condition.
Ensuring that duties carried out in compliance will all OH&S policies, procedures and or ideals set by the company. To actively participate in the development, implementation and enforcement of safety outcomes required.
Warehousing and Dispatch
Ensuring on time delivery targets are meet for all internal and external customer orders.
Accuracy in terms of quantity and type of goods dispatched.
Accuracy and accountability for the quality and quantities of stock received into the warehouse
Performing accurate cyclic stock checks
Receiving of and storage of goods which are not for resale.
Timely consignment of all orders with the appropriate transport.
Inspection and certification of all loads prior to dispatch for accuracy, compliance and quality and integrity of packaging.
Minor Building Maintenance
To ensure that minor building maintenance is completed as scheduled
OH&S: Maintain safe work practices and environment in your area of control.
Stock Control: Ensuring that stock in the warehouse is accurate and maintained at correct levels
Orders: Ensuring distributions and customer orders are done in a timely and cost effective manner
Systems: Ensuring all operational procedures are followed.
Maintenance: Ensure all warehouse equipment is fit for use at all times.
– Previous experience in retail warehousing – preferably with a supervisory, goods inwards and/or inventory control background.
– Good time management skills
– “Hands on” with the ability to work accurately and quickly under pressure
– Ability to meet KPIs
– Proactive self-starter with initiative to work independently and as part of a team
– Constantly look to implement process improvements
– Excellent computer skills
– Can do attitude
– Physically fit
– Ability to multi-task and prioritise
