About the Position

Team Leader Credit Cards / Banking will lead RMIT’s bank account reconciliation operation & credit card life cycle management. You will manage transaction processing issues and actively manage cash balances across the University to meet operational requirements and gain access to data sets required for resolution of issues.

You will engage with key stakeholders including banks to manage & maintain relationships, mandates, and signatories; review and provide business requirements for system design, process flow and solutions for banking & credit card processing.

In addition, you will contribute to the development of RMIT policies and procedures whether internal or based on the interpretation of legal and regulatory requirements to identify and either mitigate or escalate risks.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum:

  • Working knowledge and understanding of financial theory and practice, principles, policies, and procedures or demonstrated banking experience utilising financial management technological solutions, preferably Workday or other ERP systems in a large organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience making effective and timely decisions by applying problem-solving and analytical skills to solve highly confidential and complex issues requiring mature judgment, discretion, and tact.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills with a proven ability to present information in a clear and concise manner both in writing and verbally for a range of audiences.
  • Proven ability to coordinate many projects simultaneously with changing priorities coupled with the ability to plan, train, and supervise the work of others.
  • A demonstrated commitment to leading and delivering excellence in customer service
  • Well-developed stakeholder and customer services skills with a proven ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders at all levels.

Mandatory:

A relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in a financial services role in a large, complex organisation.

About the Portfolio

Financial services partners with other areas of the university in achieving the organisation’s objectives by strategically orienting its provision of financial services to the delivery of the core operations of the university.

Mandatory:

A relevant tertiary degree and /or extensive project and administrative expertise in a complex tertiary education or similar service environment.
