- Salary Level HEW 3 ($56,423 – 62,292 p.a + 17% Superannuation) with Flexible Working Arrangements

The Office is responsible for providing the leadership and strategic direction for RMIT’s whole-of-university approach to reconciliation and engagement efforts and activities.
About the role
The Indigenous Administration Trainee is responsible for providing administrative support and assistance to the Ngarara Willim Centre staff and students, and the Manager, Indigenous Student Education.
The role will support a range of activities including but not limited to coordination of meetings, maintenance of financial records, ordering supplies and stationery, liaison with students and general upkeep of the Ngarara Willim space.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum :
- Knowledge of issues faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities regarding education and employment
- Ability to organise and prioritise tasks, to show initiative and judgement and work to deadlines.
- Demonstrated mature outlook with team orientation and ability to work autonomously.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills as well as proven strong computer literacy.
- Commitment to continued learning and development.
The trainee will be required to undertake a Certificate III Business Administration online.
*This is an Aboriginal Designated Position, classified under ‘special measures’ of section 12 of the Equal Employment Opportunity Act 2010.

A relevant tertiary degree and /or extensive project and administrative expertise in a complex tertiary education or similar service environment.
