About the role

This is a 100% outdoor field position. You will be part of a large team assisting in the operation, maintenance and calibration of hydrometric instrumentation and collection of hydrometric data from water and waste water networks.

Your duties will involve

Undertake field data collection and measurement in line with relevant work instructions and standards
Assist with the interpretation of hydrometric data and provide timely reporting on water/wastewater cycle information

Support maintenance of specialised hydrometric measurement and monitoring equipment in accordance to safe working practices
Ensure data quality and resolve data variances to agreed timeframes
Assist in the efficient delivery wastewater monitoring plans

About you

Recent graduates or mature individuals who are open to working outdoors in different locations and environments ranging from adverse weather conditions to waterways and wastewater systems. Safety first approach with risk awareness given the autonomous tasks and sometimes hazard working locations. Must be willing to work at heights and in confined spaces within the wastewater environment.

You will have:

Demonstrated experience working under limited direction and to tight deadlines
Valid drivers licence and ability to use general hand tools
Valid or able to obtain General WHS Construction card, RMS Traffic Control certifications, Senior First Aid certificate, Specialist Gas testing certificate and Confined Space certificate
Valid or able to obtain current inoculations in Hepatitis A, B and Tetanus
Any knowledge of water cycle and wastewater systems, telemetry, hydrometric logging equipment and sensors
