Your team

The Early Customer Engagement team look after the service experience for customers that have missed a payment and need a reminder or short term payment arrangement. You will be working with a team of Customer Engagement Specialists who all report to the Team Manager.

Your impact

In your role as a Customer Engagement Specialist you will make outbound calls and receive inbound calls from CommBank customers and will be having discussions on applying appropriate financial solutions for Credit Cards, Home Loans, Personal Loans, and Overdrawn Personal Accounts. Your goal will be to negotiate a mutually agreeable payment solution in order to secure and enhance the financial wellbeing of our customers.

The focus of this role is to have timely conversations with our customers whilst at the same time gaining an understanding of the customer’s situation and delivering excellent and courteous customer service. You will then be able to use your keen sense of negotiation to get them back on track with their payments.

You are highly motivated, empathetic and resilient; with strong negotiation skills to achieve mutually agreeable outcomes. You demonstrate effective listening skills, with clear and concise communication skills. You have a drive to reach and exceed expectations and enjoy working within a fast paced, high energy environment.

Shift details and requirements:

We are offering either 16 or 20 hours permanent part time shifts per week. The shift times available are:

Monday to Thursday 12pm to 5pm
Tuesday to Friday 12pm to 5pm
Tuesday to Friday 5pm to 9pm
Tuesday to Friday 5pm to 9pm including a Saturday 9am to 2pm
Wednesday to Friday 12pm to 5pm including Saturday 9am to 1pm

Training details and requirements:

To be considered for this position you must also be available to attend a compulsory 4 week full time paid training program commencing on 12th June, as stated below:

Weeks 1, 2, 3, 4: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:00pm
