Our Finance team share a love of spreadsheets, graphs, data and chocolate, all in equal measure. They realise the value of taking care of the pennies so that the pounds will take care of themselves, which is why they are our forecasters, reporters, project managers, accountants, auditors, risk managers, goal trackers and fraud busters. They deal with the day to day transactions, balance sheets, reconciliations, pay the bills, pay our people and take accountability of our money. Finance is an important partner who design and manage our financial solutions to support our expansion and growth.
Due to strong growth, an exciting new opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic, analytical and dynamic Accounts Assistant to join the team in a permanent part time capacity, working 3 days a week. This role is perfect for someone who is looking to slow down or look for work life balance.
Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Accounts Assistant will be responsible for:
Preparing journal entries
Bank and credit card reconciliations
Month End reporting
Assisting with Payroll
Ensuring compliance with relevant statutory requirements
Collating and filing regulatory report inputs
Ensuring proper and timely reconciliation, documentation and internal control
Looking for continuous business process improvement to meet best practice benchmarks
Ad hoc projects
The Accounts Assistant we are looking for has:
Accounting or finance degree and a strong academic history
Experience with Oracle Cloud would be highly advantageous
Results driven with the ability to meet deadlines
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with a variety of different stakeholders and levels of seniority
Excellent Excel skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work well in a team environment
Proactive with the ability to use initiative and work independently
Flexibility to work up to 5 days a week to cover for annual leave
