Full Time Military Rehabilitation Consultant (OT) – Townsville

IPAR provides Occupational and Vocational Rehabilitation services and Injury Management Consulting services to insurers, self-insurers and claims agents, state workers compensation authorities, state based transport accident schemes, Comcare, life insurance and directly to our employer customers.
We have been successfully appointed as a national provider of services to the Australian Defence Force (ADF). This will see us play a critical role in returning injured or ill military personnel to work and wellbeing. This may see the member returned to suitable ADF employment, or assisted through a seamless transition program to the civilian work environment.
Using your allied health qualifications and workplace rehabilitation experience, you will be working with military personnel who have sustained a physical or psychological injury. You will be responsible for assessing their needs, then developing and implementing strategies to enable a safe return to health and work (either to a suitable ADF or civilian role).
You will also have:
• Full or provisional registration with AHPRA (Australian Health
Practitioner Regulation Agency);
• Allied Health Qualifications in Occupational Therapy
• 2+ years’ experience in Occupational Rehabilitation
• A passion for injury prevention, return to work and the health
benefits of work
• Current driver’s license and motor vehicle
